Hello World!

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here! I’m sure you have some questions, so let’s jump right in.

Who am I?

Oh, I'm just a magical, mystical Martian dolphin sent here from the stars to live and learn amongst humans of course! Born into this world on an Easter Sunday morning in the midwest, delivered from my mother’s womb by the hands of my father. But the story doesn’t start or end there…

Hello! I’m MaryAnn George, a person living in Brooklyn, though I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. I'm an Aries sun, Scorpio moon, Gemini rising. I'm an ENFP according to Myers-Briggs and a Manifestor in Human Design. I'm still not sure of my Enneagram type, either a 1 or a 4, maybe someday I'll figure it out. I'm the third of six children, raised Catholic in a large mostly Lebanese family. My favorite color is yellow (surprise!) and I love rainbows. My dream is to revolutionize the way we structure and function in "family." I’m working towards this by coaching parents and individuals over at The Kindling Kind.

I've lived in St. Louis, Boston, San Francisco, Madison, Phoenix, Iceland, and Brooklyn. I have a background in the fine arts and graphic design. I've worked as a designer, camp counselor, barista, server, dominatrix, and nanny. I've started many paths and found one thing always leads to another. Part of the work I'm doing right now is learning to accept these transitions and connections and allow for space to change and grow as I go. I am learning to honor my whims and desires as messages and direction from the Divine.

I'm in process, in progress, doing the work that is calling me. Exploring my nature, my gender, my sexuality, my roles and the roles I want to have, learning about embodiment and self responsibility, looking into other realms, ritual, experimenting, finding rhythm, cultivating an art practice, calling on my well bright ancestors and guides, getting acquainted with my path and what is mine to do, which includes dismantling white supremacy, capitalist patriarchy, and cis-het “norms” within myself and my world. I know there’s a learning curve. I’m here for growth, not perfection. I’m committed to the process, the ongoing lifelong work, and I hope that shows. I am here in all my glory and rawness! Showing up as a Warrior Goddexx, and hopefully Champion, of Realness.

What is this blog?

This blog comes from a deep desire to share. The more internal work I do, the more intense the urge to share becomes. I want to share my process and progress as openly as possible, with full transparency as an offering back to the collective. With so much content and so many voices in the digital world already, it feels funny to me to start a blog in 2020. Who am I to make one more? What's the goal? I asked these questions to my guides as well as myself and the answer I got back was "practice."

This blog is a place for me to learn about accountability, a place to call in connection if it's meant to be. A place to put out what I'm working on inside, to exercise and hone my voice. I want to see how it feels to blog as a practice, to show up and welcome in whatever wants to be shared. I want to find out how it feels to share all the raw, charged, wild things that are taking root inside me in real time, while I'm in the thick of it. I want to write and blog about what's alive for me, what's bubbling to the surface and what lives beneath that.

I don't know what this blog will become. Right now, it feels like a tender mystery seedling that fell into my hand, full of possibility! I'm planting it in the fertile soils of the Internet. Who knows if it will take root and grow. And if it does, who knows what it will grow into. If you are reading this, my commitment to both of us is compassion, transparency, and realness. I want to champion progress, learning, imperfection, the courage to try and do, the urge to share and be out as myself. I want to create a narrative of change and growth that is as close to my lived experience as possible.

I am not an authority and don’t claim to be. However, I am a Great Experimenter, a Sacred Galvanizer, and a Warrior of Peace and Prosperity utilizing accessible alchemy, collective wisdom, and co-opting holy traditions so they can better serve me as I am now. I invite you along to witness and partake, if that's something that feels good and right to you. Thank you for being here. I love you. Let’s do this!

Please note: This blog doesn't have a comment section because its primary focus isn't discourse. That said, if something resonates with you, you want to share information, or you want to call me in or out, I invite you to email me directly. I ask that you do so with compassion and transparency. Please remember what I am sharing is my experience. It's raw, in progress, still growing, and I care deeply about sharing it as well as those that read it. I strongly value integrity and I want that to come through in everything I do. This blog won't be for everyone and I'm ok with that. With that in mind, I also want to honor and welcome feedback, especially if it's soul centered and constructive with everyone's highest and best at heart. Thank you!
